I was curious to read Ma’avar Yabok, a 17th-century work on Jewish practice towards the sick, dying, and dead. I obtained the Hebrew text from Sefaria, but I found the text challenging, and was not able to find a translation. I have therefore attempted a translation of the entire book using Anthropic large language models.
